» Indian Rose Tours is a small company. This guarantees a personal touch. Feedback over the last few years has shown that people have many complaints about the impersonal approach and conflicting or wrong information they were given by the large tour operators. Many tour organizations are being bought by even bigger companies, farther away, resulting in an even more impersonal approach and in less flexibility on their part. Indian Rose Tours strives to be as flexible as possible. For example, extensions and last-minute modifications of the itineraries are always possible if the situation in India permits it. Micha is both the most experienced and educated tour operator and tour leader you could hope for. He has been living in India since 2003 and has been guiding and constructing tours in India for Westerners since 2004. This explains why Micha understands both the Western expectations and the Indian way of thinking and makes him the ideal person to be your bridge between the West and India. He also studied Indology (Languages and Cultures of the Indian Subcontinent). Micha constructed the tours himself, so there is no one better suited to answer any questions which may arise. All queries you might have before, during and after your stay in India will be dealt with swiftly, respectfully and personally by Micha himself. Our itineraries include all the major tourist sights of India, but also go off the beaten track. This way you will be able to experience India in its truest form as opposed to seeing only places affected by tourism. Our aim is to make you get to know the real India!
» Yes. We specialize in making personalized tours for individuals, couples, families and (small or large) groups. These tours can include or exclude a tour leader, according to your wishes. Just e-mail us the places you would like to visit and together we'll make an itinerary tailored to your personal wishes. Micha's extensive knowledge of India (both popular and little known destinations) and his many years of experience in India's tourism sector will be a big help. See our suggestions on itineraries on this website to give you an idea.
» Yes. A local representative and your driver will welcome you at the airport on your arrival in India. At departures by train a representative will show you to your pre-booked seat. A representative and / or driver will welcome you at every arrival by train or (domestic) flight. On arrival at many hotels a representative will welcome you and discuss the details of your program for the next few days. All our representatives, guides and drivers speak English. Moreover before departure you will receive the phone numbers of the executive and of the manager of our local office and of Micha himself of course. All three will be available 24/7 for any support you may need during your stay in India.
» Yes. The cancellation has to be made at least one month prior to departure. This will set you back 25% of the total price. Should you want to cancel within one month prior to departure you will have to pay the total price.
» Your tour is guaranteed as soon as we have received the 25% deposit.
» No. Payments are done directly to our partner in India. This agency is a registered company with many years of experience in working with large and small Western companies (like Indian Rose Tours). It has all the necessary insurance policies (including the liability insurance) and is registered with all the relevant industry organizations. In the unlikely case that a negative travel advisory is issued by your government, you will receive a 100% refund on the land tour arrangements. This does not cover for your flight to and from India, which can be addressed with your airline of choice. It is recommended you pay for a cancellation insurance when booking your flight.

He guided us in a professional way through India, in many ways a challenging country. He acts decisively when necessary en shares a lot of the interesting background information he's gathered by living in this country for many years and by having studied Indology. He often makes last minute adjustments to make it all more fun and interesting and the excursions made by himself are always excellent! He prefers to get off the beaten track to show you the real India. So no expensive tea stops at big touristy resorts but instead he took us to small local chai shops. He also showed us his gentle side and sense of humour."
» If you have any complaints, please let us know as soon as any incident occurs. Your feedback is a key element in helping us to become a better company. If anything is not going according to your wishes, or you would like to see things done differently while on a tour, please convey this to Micha and/or the local agency as soon as possible. Most issues can be resolved swiftly during the tour. Again, we value your thoughts and insights on our services. After completion of the tour, you will receive a questionnaire about the itinerary, the accommodation and transport and the services. We would very much appreciate it if you could fill this out in earnest and e-mail it back to us within a month. With this feedback we will try to improve our tours and service wherever possible.
